Hydroxide is any inorganic chemical compound
containing one or more hydroxyl (OH) groups
and generally combined with a metal.
Hydroxides include sodium hydroxide (caustic
soda, NaOH), potassium hydroxide (caustic
potash, KOH), and calcium hydroxide (slaked
lime, Ca(OH)2).
